Which accoutrements make you feel better?

We all have days when we are just lacking in self-confidence. On those days we may wear an outfit we know we look good in or something that makes us feel happy. In the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich the main character, Stephanie, uses mascara as her secret weapon. Mine is, hands down, shoes. I wear my killer shoes and I feel like I can take on anything. I go in to serious “WATCH OUT WORLD” mode.

How does this work? I mean why do shoes on the end of my body, and often not completely visible make me feel like I am it? If I feel insecure or a bit a down put on pair of killer shoes and I get a lift. I will honestly say right now that I smile just thinking of my different shoes. I am counting down the days until nice weather and I can drag them all out. Days were I just hate my body I throw on my pink faux snake-skin and I am suddenly okay.

Am I the only one who does this? What is your secret weapon for when you need that lift?

I was just about to say… not shoes for me. Then I get hit with these multiple memories of boots, boots, boots! Lace up, or zip up, increasing my height by a good 3 inches. Oh, yeah. Boots!!! Bring on the cold weather!!
