Some days you have to be silly. I have days when being silly is the only thing that keeps me sane. I guess being silly is my form of playing and it is known how important playing is to our health!
Of course I am sure the question being asked is what does silly look like? For me it can be making faces with friends at work. One morning last week is a perfect example. I was outside having a smoke and my friend Maryanne came to window and started making faces at me. I made them right back and ended up cracking up. Silly also takes the form of dancing goofy dances. Have you ever done the chicken dance at work? I have! At home it can take the form of running around with my cats, playing Wii with my sister, or messing up my mom’s hair over and over again. I love any action that will just give me relief from being so serious.
My advice today is get your silly on. The world is so serious and there is so much pain that we deserve that moment of letting our hair down and being goofy. Let the child inside of you come out for a moment or two. You will not regret it. Trust me.
I totally agree. Life has enough seriousness of its own we don’t need to add to it. Being silly is way under rated! Silly is my daughter and son in law calling me “Crazy Nan”. It’s dancing with the dog in the kitchen, it’s making faces at my hubby while we are playing cards, it’s singing a foolish song while cooking supper, it’s naming my Kitchenaid R2D2. Here’s to silliness in all its forms!
Love it Joss! There is something so freeing about being silly! Peace my friend.
