This week has been filled with technological challenges. If you know me you would put your hands over your face and probably sob. I know just enough to realize that I don’t enough, but I try anyway.
Even though I am considered technically challenged by most people I am a gadget gal! This is probably due to the fact that I am the most capable person in my family when it comes to technology.
**That is such a scary thought! In reality my family should be Amish for safety reasons. Just saying.**
I have multiple iPods (one for books and the other for music – no cross contamination), a kindle, netbook, an Android phone, and a Mac at home. I even have a wireless network at home. I never thought about it, but on Sunday I decided to turn it on. First, it already was and second, after attempting to get my new Kindle to connect to it on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday I discovered that my router and Kindle are not compatible.
Right there is the issue. I actually go to the land of “I’m incompetent” any time I have an issue related to technology. This time each issue I have experienced has not been tied to my incompetence, but to a router, server, and a system going belly up. I have to admit that this is awesome. In the future I have to remember check out the technology in addition to my incompetence when having issues.
I would like to thank Starbucks for their awesome wireless network. Armed with an iced latte I was able to download all of my books to the new Kindle in an air-conditioned and music filled in atmosphere. Heaven!
