If you are in the USA you have probably heard about Congressman Weiner. The most disturbing thing about this situation for me is the statement “The worst part is he lied to the press!” REALLY?
I look at what this guy did and I have to say I am not thrilled that he lied to anyone. I am also not thrilled that he did what he did. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Google it.
What I really have an issue with is that he is either really so stupid that he didn’t think anyone would find out or is such a narcissist that he didn’t think it would matter.
If anyone in this world actually thinks that politicians are “honest” maybe you need to wake up. It doesn’t matter what party or country you live in. In my opinion 99.9% of politicians are dishonest. Why the press is surprised that they were lied to mystified me. This man lied to his wife and not to mention fact that if we look at the last six months I am pretty sure I can find at least one article a week in which someone in a position in government lied to the press.
Isn’t time for us to look at the fact that our politicians lie as being an issue and not that they dared to lie to a specific segment of our population? Shouldn’t honesty be a requirement? Maybe integrity could be added to the list? You know, just for a change.
it all seems to have become a game of power, of personal validation, and little thought is given to the electors. sigh.
I totally agree!
mary after drinking a ton of rum, I only have a couple of things to say… if I had to feel guilty about how many times I said “weiner” in a sentence to a lady-friend when I am talking about dating/sex you would be amazed… secondly men lie… I think it’s one of our 2 special skill sets… the first one is fix things that break suddenly…
lastly…it takes time to break in a man…we need to be coddled a bit to make sure life is good for us before we start to let our firewalls down… life is hard enough, so be gentle… I know we seem so tough..but there are times when we need a freaking break…

T I so adore you. This wasn’t only about men, but about all politicians. I will remember to be gentle with the men in my life. I promise. Blessings and much love my friend.
lol…remember mary, I had rum last night…I woke up this morning and found like 52 new message and was shocked at how much stuff i wrote…
wow…who knew i had so much to say… i can’t help but giggle at some of the responses…some of them are so inflamatory, and others are so amazingly loving it’s ridiculous…
T.
T I am cracking up! I will say that I am putting the “being gentle” in to practice with my engineers today.
So Obama signs and the debt bill becomes law. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief and life carries on as normal – but for what time frame? There’s only so much road you can kick the can down and America is pretty near the end of it. What then?
Cool blog with great info
Thanks David!
